Technology Details:
Bioformulation of Bacillus subtilis NBAIR BS1 was found to be a promising and effective in suppressing tea shot hole borer, Euwallacea fonicatus. This isolate induced the growth of the tea plants by suppressing the growth of the tea shot hole borer by 68.5%. The isolate has good phosphate solubilizing ability. The growth of tea plants was induced by the application of the isolate and treated plants has increased root length, shoot length, number of tender leaves and stem girth.
